Family Time

Spending time with family is very important to us. However, my kids are at the age where spending time with their dad seems lame or even when they do have interest, lacrosse, hockey or friends always seem to get in the way.  Flipping through the channels one day led me to recording Buffy The Vampire Slayer so that my daughter would be able to enjoy one of the movies I enjoyed when I was younger. However, she had no interest in it and could not find time to watch it with me even if she wanted to. That was when I had my epiphany. I was going to force my kids to carve out a few hours a week to watch movies I loved when I was younger. We were going to watch the films together and then have a discussion about it. The lightbulb came on, and I said, we are going to record these discussions and create a podcast. The hope is that other families like us can use our watch list as a guide to spur their own family bonding. Will the kids of today enjoy the movies from the 80s and 90s and think they are studs? Or, will they hate them and think they are duds. How will the films hold up watching them as an adult vs what we remember from when we were kids?

Studs vs Duds

As we finish up every episode, we will determine if the movie is a stud or a dud.

Full Stud- All people on the podcast believe the film is a stud

2/3 stud

Half Stud- If we have a guest on the podcast and we split evenly on stud vs dud

2/3 Dud

Dud- All people on the podcast believe the movie is a dud
